The present invention relates to an apparatus and a method for purifying air using bubbles, capable of easily purifying air by increasing the production of air. More specifically, the apparatus includes: a first air supply unit provided at one side of a lower portion thereof to supply contaminated air; a first purifying unit including purified water contained in a specific amount in an inner space thereof to dissolve dust and organic gas in the contaminated air, a first screen having a plurality of through-holes, and a first air discharge unit provided at one side of an upper portion thereof to discharge the purified air; a second purifying unit including a second air supply unit connected to the first air discharge unit to supply the purified air, purified water contained in a specific amount in an inner space thereof to dissolve dust and organic gas in the contaminated air, a second screen having a plurality of through-holes, and a second air discharge unit provided at one side of the upper portion thereof to discharge the purified pair; and a control unit controlling the first purifying unit and the second purifying unit.
