The present invention relates to an automatic fall prevention device in an elevator hoistway, comprising: a support installed on the inner side of an elevator hoistway; a safety net disposed horizontally to block a fall target through the elevator hoistway by having one side hinged to the support and the other side supported on the support; an installation frame provided to be located at an upper side from one side of the support; a wire having one end connected to the safety net and extending toward the installation frame; a winding machine installed in the installation frame to allow passage of an elevator car by winding the wire, erecting the safety net, and opening the elevator hoistway or to block the elevator hoistway by releasing the wire and returning the safety net to the horizontal state; a car detection unit for outputting a detection signal by detecting that the safety net reaches a position where the elevator hoistway should be opened and the position where the elevator hoistway should be blocked, when the elevator car goes up and down; and a control unit for receiving the detection signal of the car detection unit and controlling the winding machine. The present invention can be easily installed on an elevator hoistway, can prevent the fall of workers, work materials, work tools, etc., and can prevent a fall accident while allowing an elevator car to go up and down automatically. Therefore, the present invention minimizes the number of management personnel and enables convenient use. 본 발명은 엘리베이터 승강로의 내측면에 설치되는 지지대; 상기 지지대에 일측이 힌지 결합되고, 타측이 상기 지지대에 지지됨으로써 상기 엘리베이터 승강로를 통한 추락 대상을 차단하도록 수평되게 배치되는 안전망; 상기 지지대의 일측으로부터 상측에 위치하도록 마련되는 설치프레임; 상기 안전망에 일단이 연결되어 상기 설치프레임 측으로 연장되는 와이어; 상기 와이어를 감아서 상기 안전망이 세워지도록 하여 상기 엘리베이터 승강로를 개방시킴으로써 엘리베이터카의 통과를 허용하거나, 상기 와이어를 풀어서 상기 안전망이 수평으로 복귀함으로써 상기 엘리베이터 승강로를 차단시키도록 상기 설치프레임에 설치되는 권선기; 상기 엘리베이터카가 승강시, 상기 안전망이 상기 엘리베이터 승강로를 개방하여야 할 위치 및 차단하여야 할 위치에 각각 도달함을 감지하여 감지신호를 출력하는 카감지부; 및 상기 카감지부의 감지신호를 수신받고, 상기 권선기를 제어하는 제어부;를 포함하도록 한 엘리베이터 승강로 추락 자동 방지 장치에 관한 것이다. 본 발명에 따르면, 엘리베이터 승강로에 대한 설치가 용이할 수 있고, 작업인부, 작업재료 및 작업공구 등의 추락을 방지할 수 있으며, 자동으로 엘리베이터카의 승강을 허용하면서 추락 사고를 방지함으로써 관리 인원을 최소화하면서도 편리한 사용을 가능하도록 하는 효과를 가진다.
