The present invention relates to a flame-retardant nonwoven fabric and to a manufacturing method thereof, and more particularly, to a flame-retardant nonwoven fabric capable of reducing the combustion rate in case of a fire and the generation rate of soot during combustion to a minimum, and to a manufacturing method thereof. Accordingly, the flame-retardant nonwoven fabric is used for mattresses or bedding. 본 발명은 난연성 부직포 및 이의 제조방법에 관한 것으로써, 보다 상세하게는 화재가 발생시 연소율과 연소시 발생되는 매연의 발생률을 최소한으로 줄여줄 수 있는 난연성 부직포 및 이의 제조방법에 관한 것이며, 매트리스(mattress)용 또는 침구(bedding)용으로 사용된다.
