Summary:The present invention relates to an apparatus for controlling the emergency lights of a vehicle, comprising: a position detection unit which includes the functions of navigation, and which provides a moving path for the vehicle in accordance with the current position and a selected destination of the vehicle and receives real-time traffic information by communicating with a server; a speed detection unit which detects the current driving speed of the vehicle; an illuminance detection unit which measures the amount of sunshine around the vehicle, whether it is day or night, and the weather; a rear detection unit which detects a following vehicle by using one or more sensors mounted on the vehicle; a front detection unit which detects a preceding vehicle by using one or more sensors mounted on the vehicle; a control unit which turns on or off the emergency lights in accordance with the vehicle′s driving situation determined based on the information detected through the position detection unit, the speed detection unit, the illuminance detection unit, the rear detection unit, and the front detection unit; and a lamp driving unit which independently controls the brightness of the emergency lights when turning on or off the emergency lights in accordance with the control of the control unit. The present invention aims to provide an apparatus and a method for controlling the emergency lights of a vehicle, which are able to automatically turn on the emergency lights and to allow a following vehicle to secure a safe distance. 본 발명은 차량의 비상등 제어 장치에 관한 것으로, 내비게이션 기능을 포함하며, 차량의 현재 위치와 목적지 선정에 따른 차량의 이동 경로 제공 및 서버와 통신하여 실시간 교통정보를 수신하는 위치 검출부; 차량의 현재 주행 속도를 검출하는 속도 검출부; 차량 주변의 일조량 측정, 주야간, 및 날씨를 식별하는 조도 검출부; 차량에 장착된 적어도 하나 이상의 센서를 이용하여 후방 차량을 검출하는 후방 검출부; 차량에 장착된 적어도 하나 이상의 센서를 이용하여 전방 차량을 검출하는 전방 검출부; 상기 위치 검출부, 속도 검출부, 조도 검출부, 후방 검출부, 및 전방 검출부를 통해 검출된 정보를 바탕으로 판단한 자차의 주행 상황에 따라 비상등을 점등시키거나 소등시키는 제어부; 및 상기 제어부의 제어에 따라 상기 비상등의 점등과 소등 및 점등 시 비상등의 밝기를 독립적으로 조절하는 램프 구동부;를 포함한다.
