Disclosed are a waste collection management server for providing additional information on domestic waste and a method for providing additional information thereof. According to the present invention, the waste collection management server for providing additional information on domestic waste comprises: a waste information storage unit storing waste information including type of domestic waste, a model image of a manufacturer for each type, and a size and a weight corresponding to each model image in a database; a collection cost storage unit classifying the waste information into a plurality of stages according to at least one of the type, the size, and the weight and matching and storing different collection costs corresponding to the classified stages; an image reception unit receiving a waste image of the domestic waste to be discarded from a customer terminal; a waste information extraction unit comparing the received waste image with the waste information stored in the waste information storage unit and extracting the waste information including the type, the size, and the weight of the domestic waste according to the compared result; a collection cost search unit searching for collection costs corresponding to the domestic waste from the collection cost storage unit corresponding to the extracted waste information; and a collection cost guide unit guiding the searched collection cost to the customer terminal. 가정용 폐기물에 대한 부가정보를 제공하는 폐기물 수거관리 서버 및 그 부가정보 제공방법이 개시된다. 본 발명에 따른 가정용 폐기물에 대한 부가정보를 제공하는 폐기물 수거관리 서버는, 가정용 폐기물의 종류, 각각의 종류별 제조사의 모델이미지, 각각의 모델이미지에 대응하는 크기 및 무게를 포함하는 폐기물정보를 데이터베이스로 저장하는 폐기물정보 저장부; 폐기물정보를 종류, 크기 및 무게 중의 적어도 하나에 따라 복수의 단계로 분류하며, 분류된 각각의 단계에 대응하여 서로 다른 수거비용을 매칭하여 저장하는 수거비용 저장부; 고객단말기로부터 폐기하고자 하는 가정폐기물의 폐기물이미지를 수신하는 이미지 수신부; 수신되는 폐기물이미지를 폐기물정보 저장부에 저장된 폐기물정보와 비교하며, 비교되는 결과에 따라 가정폐기물의 종류, 크기 및 무게를 포함하는 폐기물정보를 추출하는 폐기물정보 추출부; 추출되는 폐기물정보에 대응하여 수거비용 저장부로부터 가정폐기물에 대응하는 수거비용을 검색하는 수거비용 검색부; 및 검색되는 수거비용을 고객단말기에 안내하는 수거비용 안내부;를 포함하는 것을 특징으로 한다.
