The invention relates to a system for cleaning a kitchen exhaust facility, and a method thereof. According to the present invention, the system for cleaning a kitchen exhaust facility comprises: a cleaning opening perforated in one side of an exhaust duct for a cleaning work for removing oil stains in an exhaust duct; a drainage opening perforated at a lower end of the exhaust duct at a position adjacent to the cleaning opening; a drainage connector installed in the drainage opening; a drainage hose having one end connected to the drainage connector and the other end disposed in a predetermined wastewater container, and guiding wastewater generated during the cleaning work of the exhaust duct to the wastewater container; an endoscope mechanism disposed in the exhaust duct through the cleaning opening so as to check a state in the exhaust duct; and a cleaning device having a rotating brush for cleaning the inside of the exhaust duct, and a cleaning line for supporting the rotating brush to be rotated, and provided for the cleaning work of the exhaust duct.
