Summary:The present invention relates to a directional excavating apparatus which horizontally drills the ground under an existing structure and performs a grouting operation, such as injection of a chemical, in order to reinforce the ground under the existing structure such as an existing building. The present invention relates to the directional excavating apparatus having a configuration capable of efficiently recovering an expensive inner diameter bit and a position sensor after horizontal excavating is completed, a method of excavating and drilling the ground using the same, and a method for reinforcing the ground. The directional excavating apparatus includes an outer diameter bit, a cylindrical coupling case, and an inner diameter bit assembly. The inner diameter bit assembly includes a sensor holder module provided with a variable fixing device, and the sensor holder module includes a sensor holder and a holder case. 본 발명은 이미 존재하고 있는 빌딩 등과 같은 기존 구조물의 하부 지반을 보강하기 위하여 기존 구조물의 하부 지반을 수평하게 천공하고 약액 주입 등의 그라우팅 작업을 수행하는 방향성 굴착장치로서, 수평굴진이 완료된 후에는 고가의 내경비트와 위치센서를 효율적으로 회수할 수 있는 구성을 가지는 방향성 굴착장치와, 이를 이용하여 지반을 굴착 및 천공하는 방법, 그리고 지반을 보강하는 방법에 관한 것이다.
