The present invention relates to an apparatus for providing a driving environment for testing an autonomously driven machine and a method of controlling the same, which are able to test by repeating various work driving scenarios or to replace an on-site test which is dangerous or requires a high cost. Here, according to an embodiment of the present invention, the apparatus for providing the driving environment for testing an autonomously driven machine comprises: a driving platform unit; a motion platform unit; a screen unit; a video generation unit; an information conversion unit; and a control unit. The autonomously driven machine is placed on the driving platform unit. The motion platform unit is able to tilt the driving platform unit. The screen unit is installed on the driving platform unit to display a video to be photographed by a photographing unit. The video generation unit generates a video to be displayed on the screen unit based on pre-saved video information. The information conversion unit generates the distance information and direction information between the autonomous driving machine and the video displayed on the screen unit based on the pre-saved video information in a format of distance output information outputted by a distance measuring unit of the autonomous driving machine, and transfers the information to an autonomous driving information generation unit of the autonomous driving machine. The control unit controls the video to be displayed on the screen unit and the inclination of the driving platform unit by corresponding to the moving speed and direction of the autonomously driven machine. 본 발명의 일실시예는 다양한 작업주행 시나리오를 반복하여 시험하거나, 위험하거나 고비용이 소요되는 현장 시험을 대체할 수 있는 자율주행기계 시험용 주행환경 제공장치 및 이의 제어방법을 제공한다. 여기서, 자율주행기계 시험용 주행환경 제공장치는 주행플랫폼부, 모션플랫폼부, 스크린부, 영상생성부, 정보변환부 그리고 제어부를 포함한다. 주행플랫폼부에는 자율주행기계가 위치되고, 모션플랫폼부는 주행플랫폼부를 기울일 수 있다. 스크린부는 주행플랫폼부에 설치되고, 촬영유닛에서 촬영될 영상을 표시한다. 영상생성부는 미리 저장된 영상정보를 기초로 스크린부에서 표시될 영상을 생성한다. 정보변환부는 미리 저장된 영상정보를 기초로 자율주행기계와 스크린부에 표시되는 영상 사이의 거리정보 및 방향정보를 자율주행기계의 거리측정유닛에서 출력되는 거리출력정보의 포맷으로 생성하여 자율주행기계의 자율주행정보생성유닛으로 전달한다. 제어부는 자율주행기계의 이동속도 및 이동방향에 대응하여 스크린부에 표시되는 영상 및 주행플랫폼부의 경사를 제어한다.
