Disclosed are an apparatus for detecting performance of a power line filter and a method thereof. According to the present invention, the apparatus for detecting performance of a power line filter comprises: a performance deterioration monitoring unit monitoring performance deterioration of each component of a power line filter to generate performance deterioration information; a frequency characteristic measuring unit measuring a frequency characteristic of the power line filter; and a performance monitoring unit determining at least one of an operation state and the performance of the power line filter based on the performance deterioration information of each component and the frequency characteristic information of the power line filter. 전원 라인 필터의 성능 감시 장치 및 방법이 개시된다. 본 발명에 따른 전원 라인 필터의 성능 감시 장치는, 전원 라인 필터의 구성 부품별 성능 열화를 모니터링하여, 성능 열화 정보를 생성하는 성능 열화 모니터링부, 상기 전원 라인 필터의 주파수 특성을 측정하는 주파수 특성 측정부, 그리고 상기 구성 부품별 성능 열화 정보 및 상기 전원 라인 필터의 주파수 특성 정보를 기반으로, 상기 전원 라인 필터의 동작 상태 및 성능 중 적어도 어느 하나를 판단하는 성능 감시부를 포함한다.
