The present invention relates to an insect activity monitoring system and a method thereof. The insect activity monitoring system comprises an image unit, a calculation unit, a storage unit and a power source unit. The present invention conveniently and accurately acquires insect access data through a system which stores the insect access data in real time by measuring access of an insect like a honeybee in real time and can check and manage an activity amount of the insect in real time. Also, the present invention builds big data through the insect access data, is utilized to an insect study and determines activity time of the insect, an activity condition and the like, thereby increasing productivity of the insect like the honeybee. 본 발명은 곤충 활동 모니터링 시스템 및 그 방법에 관한 것으로, 영상부, 연산부, 저장부, 전원부를 포함하여, 꿀벌과 같은 곤충의 출입을 실시간으로 계측함으로써, 곤충의 출입 데이터를 실시간 저장하는 시스템을 통해 편리하고 정확한 곤충 출입 데이터를 얻고, 실시간으로 곤충의 활동량을 확인하여 실시간으로 관리할 수 있다. 또한, 곤충 출입 데이터를 통해 빅데이터를 구축함으로써, 곤충 연구에 활용하고, 곤충의 활동 시간 및 활동 조건 등을 파악하여 꿀벌과 같은 곤충의 생산성을 향상시킬 수 있다.
