The present invention relates to a fuel gas supply system and a method for a ship and, more specifically, relates to a fuel gas supply system and a method for a ship, which can supply boil-off gas having a high temperature to an engine as fuel when a ship in a ballast condition is operated with the engine for the ship to require gas fuel of high methane. According to the present invention, the fuel gas supply method supplies gas fuel to an automatic cycle engine for a ship or a 4-storke diesel cycle engine for a ship, and supplies boil-off gas generated in a liquefied gas storage tank to a mixer when a ship is operated in a ballast condition. The mixer sprays liquefied gas to remove heavy hydrocarbon contained in the boil-off gas, and the boil-off gas in which the heavy hydrocarbon is removed is supplied to the engine as fuel. 본 발명은 선박의 가스 연료 공급 시스템 및 방법에 관한 것으로서, 더욱 상세하게는, 메탄가가 높은 가스 연료를 필요로 하는 선박용 엔진을 사용하는 선박의 공선 운항 시, 온도가 높은 증발가스를 엔진의 연료로 공급할 수 있는, 선박의 가스 연료 공급 시스템 및 방법에 관한 것이다. 본 발명에 따른 선박의 가스 연료 공급 방법은, 선박용 오토 사이클 엔진 또는 선박용 4-행정의 디젤 사이클 엔진으로 가스 연료를 공급하는 방법에 있어서, 선박의 공선 운항 시에는, 액화가스 저장탱크에서 생성된 증발가스를 혼합기로 공급하고, 혼합기로 상기 액화가스를 분사하여 증발가스에 포함된 중탄화수소 성분을 제거하고, 중탄화수소 성분이 제거된 증발가스를 상기 엔진의 연료로 공급하는 것을 특징으로 한다.
