Summary:The present invention relates to an earphone device, and more particularly, to an earphone device and a control method thereof, capable of performing a continuous wireless connection with an electronic device without the interruption or delay of data transmission even if a wired connection with the electronic device is released in a wired and wireless combined earphone device. According to the earphone device and the control method thereof according to an embodiment of the present invention, a wireless connection with the electronic device is additionally set in a wired connection state with the electronic device, thereby maintaining the continuous connection with the electronic device without the interruption or delay even if the wired connection is released afterward. The earphone device includes a wireless communication module, a wireless connection button, a battery, a wired connection unit, and a speaker for outputting data received from the electronic device. The wireless communication module operates in a wireless communication mode or a wired communication mode. If the wired connection unit is separated from the electronic device, the wireless communication mode is released and switched into the wireless communication mode. 본 발명은 이어폰 장치에 관한 것으로서, 보다 상세하게는 유무선 겸용 이어폰 장치에 있어서 전자 기기와의 유선 연결이 해제되더라도 끊김이나 데이터 전송의 지연없이 전자 기기와의 연속적인 무선 연결이 가능하도록 하는 이어폰 장치 및 제어 방법에 관한 것이다. 본 발명의 실시예에 따른 이어폰 장치 및 제어 방법에 의하면, 전자 기기와의 유선 연결 상태에서 추가적으로 상기 전자 기기와의 무선 연결을 설정할 수 있도록 함으로써, 이후 유선 연결이 해제되더라도 끊김이나 지연 없이 상기 전자 기기와의 계속적인 연결을 유지할 수 있는 효과가 있다.
