The present invention relates to a cooling apparatus, and a heat treatment apparatus and a heat treatment method using the same. The apparatus comprises: a container storing a first refrigerant, having an entrance hole through which a material can be introduced provided at one side of the container and an exit hole through which the material can be discharged provided at the other side thereof, and allowing the material to be immersed in the first refrigerant; and a heat exchanging unit which is installed in the container, and through which a second refrigerant can pass to cool the first refrigerant. Therefore, boiling can be removed so as to prevent damage to facilities. Moreover, the refrigerant is not pure water so that oxidation of the material can be suppressed to increase a surface quality of a product. 본 발명은 냉각장치와 이를 사용하는 열처리장치 및 열처리방법에 관한 것으로, 냉각장치는 제1냉매를 수용하며, 일측에는 소재가 들어올 수 있는 입구가 구비되고 타측에 상기 소재가 나갈 수 있는 출구가 구비되며, 상기 소재가 상기 제1냉매에 침지되는 용기; 및 상기 용기에 설치되고, 제2냉매가 통과하여 상기 제1냉매를 냉각하는 열교환부를 포함하여서, 끓음 현상을 제거하여 설비의 손상을 방지할 수 있으며, 제1냉매가 순수 등과 같은 물이 아니므로 소재의 산화를 억제하여 제품의 표면 품질을 향상시킬 수 있는 효과를 얻게 된다.
