Summary:Disclosed are a system and a method of estimating rainfall considering spatial-scale of rainfall. According to an embodiment of the present invention, rainfall data of grid distribution of a weather radar or an automatic weather system (AWS) is divided into a convective rainfall and a layered rainfall through image filtering in consideration of a spatial-scale of the rainfall. The convective rainfall forecasting field and the layered rainfall forecasting field are generated by reflecting movement characteristics of each divided rainfall, and then the convective rainfall forecasting field and the layered rainfall forecasting field merged to generate rainfall prediction field such that accuracy of very short-range prediction rainfall for localized rain in urban areas is able to be improved. In addition, the rainfall prediction field is able to be utilized as input data of an urban flood model to improve accuracy of predicting sudden floods. 본 기술은 강우의 공간 규모를 고려한 강우 예측 시스템 및 방법을 개시된다. 본 발명의 구체적인 예에 따르면, 기상레이더 또는 AWS (Automatic Weather System)의 격자분포의 강우 자료를 강우의 공간규모를 고려하여 이미지 필터링을 통해 대류성 강우와 층상형 강우로 분할하고, 분할된 각각의 강우들의 이동특성을 반영하여 대류성 강우 예측장과 층상형 강우 예측장을 각각 생성한 후 생성된 대류성 강우 예측장과 층상형 강우 예측장을 병합하여 강우 예측장으로 생성함에 따라 도시지역의 국지성 호우에 대한 초단시간 예측 강우의 정확도를 향상시킬 수 있으며, 도시돌발홍수모형의 입력자료로 활용되어 돌발홍수 예측의 정확도를 향상시킬 수 있는 효과를 가진다.
