Summary:One embodiment of the present invention provides a surface treatment method of a casting roll configured to not form an untreated part by correcting a shape of a pattern in a final joint of the pattern formed on the casting roll. To achieve this, the present invention comprises: a basic pattern treatment step of rotating a casting roll, and treating a pattern of a predetermined shape through a laser on a surface of the casting roll; an untreated area calculation step of photographing an untreated area where a pattern is to be untreated and then calculating and providing the untreated area based on the photographed image when the casting roll is rotated to a critical angle; and a critical pattern processing step of treating any one of the patterns to match the untreated area when a size of the untreated area is smaller than a size of the pattern after a size of the untreated area is compared with a size of the pattern. 본 발명의 일 실시예는 주조롤에 형성되는 패턴의 최종 이음부에서 패턴의 형태를 보정하여 미가공부가 형성되지 않도록 한 주조롤의 표면처리방법을 제공하는 것으로, 본 발명의 일 측면에 따른 주조롤의 표면처리방법은 주조롤을 회전시키며 주조롤 표면에 소정 형태의 패턴을 레이저를 통해 가공하는 기본패턴 가공단계; 상기 주조롤이 임계각도까지 회전되면, 패턴이 가공될 미가공영역을 촬영한 후, 촬영된 영상에 기초하여 상기 미가공영역을 산출하여 제공하는 미가공영역 산출단계; 및 상기 미가공영역의 크기와 패턴의 크기를 비교한 후, 상기 미가공영역의 크기가 패턴의 크기보다 작을 경우, 패턴 중 어느 하나를 상기 미가공영역에 맞게 가공하는 임계패턴 가공단계;를 포함한다.
