The present invention relates to an apparatus for learning a junction of an engine clutch of a hybrid vehicle, capable of learning a junction of an engine clutch even during driving of a hybrid vehicle by releasing a transmission clutch in coast down of an EV mode and controlling the speed of a motor, and a method thereof. The method for learning a junction of an engine clutch of a hybrid vehicle including a motor connected to a transmission and an engine selectively connecting an engine clutch to the motor includes: a step of determining whether a junction learning condition of an engine clutch is satisfied; a step of releasing a transmission clutch and controlling the speed of the motor when the learning condition is satisfied; a step of increasing an adhesion pressure of the engine clutch when a speed change of the motor is less than a first predetermined value; a step of comparing a change in the motor torque changed by an increased adhesion pressure of the engine clutch with a second setting value; and a step of learning a junction of the engine clutch when the change in the motor torque is equal to or greater than the second setting value. 본 발명은 EV 모드의 타행 주행 상황에서 변속기 클러치를 해제하고, 모터의 속도를 제어하여 하이브리드 차량의 주행 시에도 엔진 클러치 접합점을 학습할 수 있는 하이브리드 차량의 엔진 클러치의 접합점 학습 장치 및 방법에 관한 것이다. 본 발명의 실시예에 따른 변속기에 연결된 모터와, 상기 모터에 엔진 클러치를 통하여 선택적으로 연결하는 엔진을 포함하는 하이브리드 차량의 엔진 클러치의 접합점 학습 방법은 엔진 클러치의 접합점 학습 조건을 만족하는 판단하는 단계; 상기 학습 조건이 만족되면, 변속기 클러치를 해제시키고 모터의 속도를 제어하는 단계; 모터의 속도 변화량이 제1 설정값보다 작으면, 엔진 클러치의 접합 압력을 증가시키는 단계; 상기 증가된 엔진 클러치의 접합 압력에 따른 모터 토크의 변화량을 제2 설정값과 비교하는 단계; 그리고 상기 모터 토크의 변화량이 제2 설정값 이상이면, 엔진 클러치의 접합점을 학습하는 단계; 를 포함할 수 있다.
