The present invention relates to an automatic column collapsing apparatus by an impact load triggering, by an impact load, an operation of an impact absorbing device installed in a seat for protecting a passenger, comprising: a fixed column; a mobile column installed in an upper corner of a seat, and coupled to be slidable upwards and downwards on an upper portion of the fixed column; and a column fixing plate having one side attached to a circumferential surface of the mobile column such that the side protrudes from the circumferential surface of the mobile column in a direction of being crossed with the fixed column, and thereby restraining downward movement of the mobile column, wherein in case of an impact load being applied thereto, the side attached to the mobile column is fractured such that the column fixing plate allows the mobile column to move downwards. Thus, the present invention may safely support a load in general without increasing a diameter of an existing shear pin, and in a case of an impact load being applied, may be automatically fractured to reliably trigger an operation of a shock absorber. 탑승자 보호를 위해 좌석에 장착되는 충격흡수장치의 작동을 충격하중에 의해 촉발하는 자동 기둥 붕괴장치에 관한 것으로서, 고정기둥; 상기 좌석의 상판 모퉁이에 구비되고, 상기 고정기둥의 상부에 상하방향으로 슬라이드 가능하게 결합되는 이동기둥; 및 상기 이동기둥의 둘레면에서 상기 고정기둥과 교차하는 방향으로 돌출되도록 일 측면이 상기 이동기둥의 둘레면에 부착되어 상기 이동기둥의 하방향 이동을 제한하고, 충격하중을 받으면 상기 이동기둥과의 부착된 일 측면이 파단됨에 따라 상기 이동기둥의 하방향 이동을 허용하는 기둥고정판을 포함하는 자동 기둥 붕괴장치가 개시된다.
