The present invention relates to a connector. The connector with enhanced safety is configured to maintain an electrical insulation state of a terminal by electrically blocking the terminal even when the terminal is pulled out from a connector housing due to the tension applied to an electrical wire, thereby preventing the risk of short-circuit, insulation damage, and electric shock. The connector includes: a terminal connected to an electrical wire; a housing storing the terminal; a shielding case which is formed in a shape of surrounding the terminal, and has a through-hole formed on one side to allow the electrical wire coupled to the terminal to pass through, and an opening formed on the other side to allow the terminal to go in and out, and is made of an insulation material; and a coupling unit which is formed on the housing to be coupled to the shielding case. When the terminal is pulled out from the housing while the shielding case is separated from the coupling unit, the terminal is stored in the shielding case to shield the terminal. 본 발명은 커넥터에 관한 것으로서, 전선에 가해지는 장력에 의해 단자가 커넥터 하우징으로부터 뽑히더라도 단자를 전기적으로 차폐하여 단자의 전기절연상태가 유지될 수 있도록 구성됨으로써 단락/절연파괴/감전 등의 위험을 예방할 수 있는 안전성이 증대된 커넥터를 제공하는데 주된 목적이 있는 것이다. 상기한 목적을 달성하기 위해, 전선에 결합된 단자; 상기 단자가 수용되는 하우징; 상기 단자를 감쌀 수 있는 형상으로 형성되어 일측에 상기 단자가 결합된 전선이 통과하는 통공이 형성되고, 타측은 단자가 내측과 외측으로 출입 가능하도록 개방되어 있는 전기절연 재질의 차폐케이스; 및 상기 하우징에 형성되어 상기 차폐케이스가 결합되는 결합부를 포함하고, 상기 단자가 하우징으로부터 뽑힘과 더불어 상기 차폐케이스가 결합부로부터 분리된 경우, 차폐케이스의 내부에 단자가 수용된 상태가 되면서 단자의 차폐가 이루어지도록 된 것을 특징으로 하는 커넥터가 개시된다.
