The present invention relates to a network capable of detection of DoS attacks and a method for controlling the same, a gateway and a managing server included on a network. The disclosed network relates to a network capable of detection of DoS attacks, comprising multiple gateways. Each of the multiple gateways receives multiple packets, generates a self-organizing map (SOM) by learning the multiple packets, and detects whether a packet to be received is a DoS attack packet by using the SOM.
