The present invention relates to a method to translate a restaurant menu by using a pivot language and, more specifically, relates to a method to translate a restaurant menu by using a pivot language, capable of improving quality and accuracy by translating a menu of a restaurant, written in a native language, into a foreign language through a variety of translation APIs and a pivot language and then applying a weighted value to the pivot language and a food category in regard to the translation result. The present invention is capable of widening catering business markets in the tourism industry, and enabling foreign tourists to easily approach local restaurants by translating the menu of the restaurant, made in the native language, depending on rankings by reflecting lingual characteristics of various countries through the pivot language. 본 발명은 피봇언어를 사용한 음식점 메뉴 번역 방법에 관한 것으로, 보다 상세하게는 자국어로 된 음식점의 메뉴명을 다양한 번역 API 및 피봇언어를 이용하여 외국어로 번역하고 번역결과에 대하여 음식의 카테고리와 피봇언어에 가중치를 부여하고 순위화하여 번역의 정확성과 질을 높인 피봇언어를 사용한 음식점 메뉴 번역 방법에 관한 것으로, 본 발명은 자국어로 작성된 음식점 메뉴명을 피봇언어(Pivot Language)를 통해 다양한 나라의 언어적 특성을 반영하고 순위에 따라 번역을 하였기 때문에 외국인 관광객들이 자국의 음식점에 대한 접근을 쉽게 만들고, 관광업에서 요식업계의 시장을 넓히는데 효과를 보인다.
