The present invention provides an air cooling apparatus and a nuclear power plant having the same. The present invention includes: a first heat exchanging unit configured to remove heat by exchanging heat with air; and a duct unit which is connected to the first heat exchanging unit, which is formed to extend the flow of air so as to increase the flow of air flowing in the first heat exchanging unit, and which increases a stack effect by density difference between the inside and the outside. The air cooling apparatus is configured in order that at least parts of the duct unit can selectively control the height thereof. 본 발명은, 공기와의 열교환을 통해 열을 제거하도록 이루어지는 제1 열교환부, 및 상기 제1 열교환부를 흐르는 공기의 유량을 증가시키도록 상기 제1 열교환부와 연결되어 공기의 유로를 연장시키도록 형성되며 내부와 외부의 밀도차에 의해 굴뚝효과(stack effect)를 증가시키는 덕트부를 포함하고, 상기 덕트부의 적어도 일부는 선택적으로 높이의 조절이 가능하도록 이루어지는 것을 특징으로 하는 공랭식 냉각장치를 제공한다.
