The present invention relates to a cylinder deactivation engine capable of preventing the abrasion of a pad unit of a valve opening device and securing the reliability of cylinder deactivation. A cylinder deactivation engine according to an embodiment, as the cylinder deactivation engine selectively performing cylinder deactivation, includes a cylinder deactivation device with an inner body coming into rolling contact with a cam formed in a cam shaft and performing a lever-type motion by the rotation of the cam shaft and an outer body opening a valve by performing a lever-type motion with the inner body when the outer body is selectively fixated to the inner body and a stopper formed in a cam carrier partly covering a lower part of the cam shaft to be integrated, interposed between the cam shaft and the outer body, and functioning as a locking protrusion of the outer body pushed to the cam shaft by the valve. 본 발명은 밸브 개폐 기구의 패드부가 마모되는 것을 방지하고. 실린더 휴지의 신뢰성이 확보된 실린더 휴지 엔진에 관한 것이다. 본 발명의 실시예에 따른 실린더 휴지 엔진은, 실린더의 휴지를 선택적으로 수행하는 실린더 휴지 엔진으로서, 캠 축에 형성된 캠과 구름 접촉하고, 상기 캠 축의 회전에 의해 레버운동 하는 이너 바디 및 상기 이너 바디에 선택적으로 고정되면 상기 이너 바디와 함께 레버운동 하여 밸브를 개폐시키는 아우터 바디를 포함하는 실린더 휴지 기구; 및 상기 캠 축의 하측 일부분을 감싸도록 구비되는 캠 캐리어에 일체로 형성되고, 상기 캠 축과 상기 아우터 바디의 사이에 배치되며, 밸브에 의해 상기 캠 축을 향하여 밀리는 상기 아우터 바디의 걸림턱으로서 기능하는 스토퍼;를 포함할 수 있다.
