Summary: | The present invention relates to an apparatus and a method for detecting the wrong wiring of a watt-hour meter. The apparatus includes a detection part which detects voltage and current signals from a three-phase three-wire watt-hour meter; a calculation part which calculates the effective and ineffective amount of power, and a phase angle for each phase and between phases based on the voltage and current signals; and a wrong wiring detecting part which detects the wrong wiring of the watt-hour meter based on the effective amount of power, a phase angle for each phase, the generation of a current value at non-active power metering, a period average power factor, and a phase difference between phases.
