Summary:The present invention relates to an apparatus and a method for testing a microphone. The apparatus for testing a microphone comprises: a speaker to generate a sound source; a sound transfer medium extended into a test room to propagate a sound; and an analyzer to receive a sound signal from the microphone in direct contact with the sound transfer medium in the test room to analyze the sound signal. According to the present invention, the sound propagated through the sound transfer medium is directly received in spite of external noise produced by environment creation equipment to perform an accurate test. Since a free sound field is maximally realized through the sound transfer medium to replace an anechoic chamber, test equipment manufacturing costs can be markedly reduced. 본 발명은 마이크로폰 테스트 장치 및 방법에 관한 것으로서, 음원을 발생시키는 스피커와, 테스트실 내부로 연장되어 음향을 전파하는 음향전달 매개체와, 테스트실 내부의 음향전달 매개체에 직접 접촉된 마이크로폰으로부터 음향신호를 전달받아 분석하는 분석기를 포함한다. 본 발명에 따르면, 환경 조성 장비에 의해 발생되는 외부소음에도 불구하고 음향전달 매개체를 통해 전파되는 음향을 직접 전달받음으로써 정확한 테스트가 이루어질 수 있으며, 음향전달 매개체를 통해 자유음장을 최대한 구현함으로써 무향 챔버를 대체할 수 있으므로 테스트 장비 제조의 비용을 현저히 낮출 수 있다.
