Summary:The present invention relates to a device and a method for restoring data in an Oracle database. A data restoration device receives a system file from the database, checks a system table included in the system file to derive the schema information for one or more tables in the system file, and selects a deleted table among the tables based on the schema information. The data restoration device then searches for and derives a data block including a deleted record through the object ID of the selected table to identify and extract the deleted record from the derived data block, thereby restoring the deleted record.
