The present invention relates to a method for obtaining TPMS sensor data and an apparatus using the same. The method for obtaining TPMS sensor data using a sensor data acquisition apparatus comprises: a step of inspecting an ID of a sensor unit mounted on a vehicle tire, comparing the ID with a list of recorded IDs, and verifying a validity of the ID of the sensor unit; a step of generating a new ID for the sensor unit and transmitting the new ID to the sensor unit if the ID of the sensor unit is not valid; and a step of receiving a confirmation message on whether to save the new ID from the sensor unit. According to the method for obtaining TPMS sensor data and an apparatus using the same, due to direct communication with the sensor unit installed on the tire for tire condition information collection, LFI installation is not necessary, and the apparatus is resistant to noise. Additionally, the ID of the sensor unit can be verified in advance, and a new ID can be generated and transmitted based on the verification. Thereby, the sensor unit can be efficiently managed, data received from each sensor unit can be easily distinguished, and data reliability can be improved. 본 발명은 TPMS의 센서 데이터 획득 방법 및 그 장치에 관한 것이다. 본 발명에 따르면, 센서 데이터 획득 장치를 이용한 TPMS의 센서 데이터 획득 방법에 있어서, 차량의 타이어에 장착된 센서부의 ID를 검사하고 상기 ID를 기 저장된 ID 목록과 비교하여 상기 센서부의 ID에 대한 유효성을 검증하는 단계와, 상기 센서부의 ID가 유효하지 않은 것으로 판단된 경우 상기 센서부에 대한 신규 ID를 생성하여 상기 센서부로 전송하는 단계, 및 상기 전송된 신규 ID의 저장 여부에 대한 확인 메시지를 상기 센서부로부터 수신하는 단계를 포함하는 TPMS의 센서 데이터 획득 방법을 제공한다. 상기 TPMS의 센서 데이터 획득 방법 및 그 장치에 따르면, 타이어의 상태정보 수집 시에 타이어에 설치된 센서부와 직접 통신을 수행하므로 LFI의 설치가 불필요하며 잡음에 강인한 이점이 있다. 또한, 사전에 센서부의 ID에 대한 유효성을 검증하고 이를 기반으로 센서부에 대한 신규 ID를 생성하고 전송함에 따라 센서부의 관리 효율을 높일 수 있으며 각 센서부로부터 취득되는 데이터의 구분이 용이하며 데이터의 신뢰성을 높일 수 있는 이점이 있다.
