Summary:The present invention relates to a touch pad-type input device serving as a laser pointer and detachably installed in a lap-top computer and the lap-top computer including the same. The touch pad-type input device includes: a housing; a user input unit installed in the housing; a terminal unit installed at one side of the housing and connected with a connector of a body; a battery charged with power received from the terminal; a laser pointer installed at the one side of the housing to operate by power of the battery; a communication unit to make communication with the lap-top computer; and a control unit to transmit an operation signal, which is input through the user input unit, to the lap-top computer through the communication unit and to control light emission of the laser pointer based on the operation signal input through the user input unit.
