Summary:The present invention relates to a method for calibrating a radiation and radioactivity measuring instrument that can automatically operate the whole calibration process for identifying a measured error of the radiation measuring instrument. The method includes the steps of: requiring calibration data of a meter according to an input of a signal to require calibration; comparing standard source information for calibration with the calibration data containing a value measured by the instrument through a calibration software to calculate a measurement error; and automatically producing a calibration report according to a signal to require the calibration report. Since the whole calibration process for identifying a measured error of the radiation or radioactivity measuring instrument is automatically operated, the time required for the calibration can be shortened, the accuracy of the results can be improved, and the objectivity can be secured. Also, since the data is computerized by a database, the effectiveness of the data management is improved, the convenience of the calibrated results is improved, and the history of each instrument can be managed.
