Summary: | The present invention relates to a method to control a thickness profile in a strip width direction in a hot rolling process comprising: a step of designing and inputting a target crown of a strip based on material-specific properties; a step of selecting a form and a material of a work roll depending on the material-specific properties; a step of rolling by the selected work roll; a step of determining whether the target crown is achieved; and a step of changing the pressure of a cooling water with respect to the work roll when the target crown is not achieved. The present invention has an effect of markedly reducing generation of a full-wave and variation in thickness in a strip width direction caused by increasing the wear amount of a work roll when a material having a large number of rolling is rolled in high load and at the same width. |
