Summary:The present invention relates to a cosmetic composition containing herbal medicine extracts and, more specifically, to a cosmetic composition which minimizes repulsion or side effects of consumers from a mixture and has anti-oxidation and anti-inflammation effect. The cosmetic composition having anti-oxidation and anti-inflammation effect according to the present invention is characterized by containing a Scutellaria baicalensis Georgi extract, a Paeonia suffruticosa Andrews extract, or a Scutellaria baicalensis Georgi and Paeonia suffruticosa Andrews mixed extract. The cosmetic composition according to the present invention not only has less side effects on a human body, but also has excellent anti-oxidation and anti-inflammation effects, thereby can be usefully used in cosmetics and medicines for the skin.
