The present invention relates to a block for greening a vertical concrete retaining wall and a structure using the same. More particularly, the present invention relates to a block for greening a wall and a wall greening structure using the same, the block comprises an outer forming part for forming an appearance and receiving a plant-growing part therein and the plant-growing part located within the outer forming part for supplying nutrients required to grow plants in the block, the outer forming part comprises an irrigation hole formed through an upper surface and a lower surface and a chamfer portion chamfered at edges that sides meet. According to the present invention, a sufficient amount of water can be supplied to roots of plants in the plant-growing part; the plants can be effectively prevented from leaving the block by gravity and rainwater during initial planting where the roots are securely fixed to the plant-growing part; installation costs can be reduced for an easy structure and method for installation; and the block can be continuously used without deformation.
