FLUX CORED WIRE FOR OVERLAY WELDING
The present invention relates to a flux cored wire for overlay welding composed of a metal sheath and a filler filled in the metal sheath. The flux cored wire comprises: 18-25 wt% of Cr, 2.0-2.9 wt% of C, 1.0-2.5 wt% of Ti, 0.8-1.8 wt% of Si, 0.5-1.2 wt% of B, 0.02-0.15 wt% of SiO_2, 0.01-0.1 wt% of...

Summary: | The present invention relates to a flux cored wire for overlay welding composed of a metal sheath and a filler filled in the metal sheath. The flux cored wire comprises: 18-25 wt% of Cr, 2.0-2.9 wt% of C, 1.0-2.5 wt% of Ti, 0.8-1.8 wt% of Si, 0.5-1.2 wt% of B, 0.02-0.15 wt% of SiO_2, 0.01-0.1 wt% of Al_2O_3, 0.01-0.1 wt% of K_2O, and the remainder consisting of Fe based on the total weight. The SiO_2, Al_2O_3, and K_2O are part of a filler as a flux. According to the present invention, the flux cored wire for overlay welding can be used to hard face a structure which requires high corrosion resistance, or a device component as a cost-efficient bonding material because the main ingredient of the wire is steel but the wire has a welded part having corrosion resistance, which is higher than a coating layer formed by coating the surface of a base material with non-oxide ceramics, such as a tungsten carbide system or a boron carbide system. |
