The present invention relates to a method and a system for displaying a shadow of a 3D virtual object and a computer-readable recording medium thereof. According to an aspect of the present invention, a method for displaying a shadow of a 3D virtual object comprises the steps of (a) acquiring location information of a view of a user who looks at a 3D virtual object displayed at a specific position on a 3D space by a wall display device; (b) determining a position where a shadow of the 3D virtual object is to be displayed and a shape thereof, with reference to the acquired location information of the view of the user and the shape information of the 3D virtual object; and (c) displaying the shadow of the 3D virtual object by at least one among the wall display device and a floor display device linked therewith, with reference to the determined position where the shadow of the 3D virtual object is to be displayed and the determined shape thereof. According to the present invention, the method and the system can display a shadow which can be generated when it is assumed that a light source is positioned over a 3D virtual object vertically on a display surface of the floor display device, thereby enabling a user to perceive an accurate depth or distance to the 3D virtual object, based on the shadow of the 3D virtual object.
