Summary: | According to an embodiment of the present invention, a device for controlling the mobile platform of a telepresence robot or avatar comprises a mobile platform operation part and a force feedback generation part. The mobile platform operation part comprises a first rotational shaft receiving a user command for controlling the longitudinal movement of a mobile platform of a telepresence robot; a second rotational shaft receiving a user command for controlling the lateral movement of the mobile platform of the telepresence robot; and a third rotational shaft receiving a user command for controlling the rotation of the mobile platform of the telepresence robot. The force feedback generation part for generating force feedback provided to a user on the first, second, and third shafts based on information on situations affecting one among the longitudinal movements, the lateral movements, and the rotations of the mobile platform of the telepresence robot. The present invention can make the user independently and intuitively perform an operation for controlling the longitudinal movement, the lateral movement, and the rotation of the mobile platform of the telepresence robot without interference of an operation for controlling the manipulator of the telepresence robot. |
