Summary:The present invention relates to a device for preventing the wrong down-shift operation of a gear lever for a vehicle with a manual transmission. When a gear lever (1) placed in the fifth speed is being moved in a diagonal direction and down-shifted to the fourth speed, the gear lever (1) is prevented from being down-shifted directly to the second speed by being blocked by a plunger (61) protruding towards a select groove (12) between the second and the fourth speed.
