Summary:The present invention relates to an igniting device for a burner, capable of improving the efficiency of ignition. According to the present invention, the igniting device for a burner includes a discharge inducing member (30) having higher electrical conductivity than insulators (41, 42, 43) of a ceramic material in order to induce high voltage electricity applied to electrode members (21, 22) to be discharged at a front end part of the electrode members (21, 22). Since electricity flows to a position having high electrical conductivity, the electricity is discharged at the front end part of the electrode members (21, 22), not at a middle part of the electrode members (21, 22) when a discharge inducing member having high electrical conductivity is installed in the front of the ceramic material. Thus, a spark does not appear at a front end part of a spark plug (B) as the electricity is discharged at the middle part of the electrode members (21, 22), thereby preventing inefficient ignition of fuel supplied by a fuel supply device of the burner. Moreover, the present invention can be used in oil or water without the reduction of performance.
