A system and a method for multi-channel sensing are provided according to an embodiment of the present invention. The system for multi-channel sensing according to an embodiment of the present invention comprises: a plurality of sensors; a plurality of local control boards and a central control terminal, wherein the central control terminal includes a means for transmitting a sensing command packet, including compressed command data resulted from compressing channel data and command data corresponding to each of the sensors, to each of the local control boards; the local control boards are arranged adjacent to the sensors and each of the local control board includes a means for receiving the sensing command packet from the central control terminal, decoding the received packet, generating sensor collection command data which can be recognized by a corresponding sensor, collecting sensed data via a communication with a corresponding sensor by the sensor collection command data, generating a transmission packet of the sensed data and transmitting the transmission packet to the central control terminal; and the transmission packet of the sensed data generated by each of the local control boards includes a reception error packet with reception error data, channel data and the sensed data.
