Summary: | The present invention relates to a connecting structure for a refrigerant pipe of an air conditioner and its connecting method that is capable of remarkably reducing material costs and process costs through the simplification of manufacturing and connecting processes, reducing the weight of the refrigerant pipe, and preventing the deformation and damage of the refrigerant pipe upon the connection. The connecting structure includes: a pipe having an expanded portion formed at the extended end thereof; an insert shaped in a horizontal pipe and horizontally fitted to the inner peripheral surface of the expanded portion at one end thereof, while forming an insertion space between the outer peripheral surface thereof and the inner peripheral surface of the expanded portion; and a hose inserted into the insertion space, whereby the insert and the hose are connected to the refrigerant pipe, without any deviation therefrom, by means of the expanded portion compressed toward the insert by the application of an external force thereto. |
