Summary:The present invention relates to a method for detecting changes in images. The method comprises the following steps: producing a differential image based on difference in brightness of the pixels of a reference image and a current image; producing a histogram based on the brightness of the differential image; extracting at least two threshold values from the histogram; extracting a boundary pixel of an object inputted into the current image; dividing the differential image considering the threshold values and boundary pixel; and recognizing an image among the divided differential images by using the inputted object. According to the present invention, an image is divided into pixels based on threshold values, thereby detecting changes in images caused by various factors. Also, the boundary pixel of an inputted object is extracted, thereby preventing an error of determining an inputted object and a background having the same level in an image divided according to threshold values as one area.
