Summary:PURPOSE: An axle rigging detection device for an overloaded vehicle is provided to accurately detect a vehicle in violation by rapidly detecting an axle rigging while the vehicle is driving, thereby improving the accuracy and the efficiency of a crackdown. CONSTITUTION: An axle rigging detection device for an overloaded vehicle includes an entry sensor (2), an exit sensor (4), axle rigging detection sensor (6), a data conversion unit (8), and a control unit (22). The entry sensor senses the entry of a vehicle, counts the axle, and measures the sizes of vehicle wheels. The exiting sensor senses the exit of a vehicle from a detection area. The axle rigging detection sensors are installed on both sides of the detection area and measure the contact area of the vehicle wheels. The data conversion unit converts the detection value applied from the axle rigging detection units into a digital value. The control unit detects whether a change in the contact area value applied from the axle rigging detection sensors are larger than a reference value or not, thereby detecting whether the axle is rigged or not.
