Summary:PURPOSE: A short range wireless communication-using security service and a method thereof reduce energy consumption taking place in a reader-tag communication or in a tag-tag communication by broadcasting signals in an uniform way via a reader with a directional antenna regardless of several factors such as tag information, signal reading time, and tag position. CONSTITUTION: A message generation unit (216) identifies the type of a response message when the message is generated. If the message is received by a reader, the message generation unit generates a response message. If the message is sent by a neighboring tag, the message generation unit displays status information on a certain field and generates a response message. Using the message from the reader, a control unit (214) communicates wirelessly with the reader and identifies its own rank among the orderly-numbered tags according to the distance with the reader.
