Summary:PURPOSE: An airtight damper for an air conditioner is provided to improve airtightness and to minimize a maintenance cost. CONSTITUTION: An airtight damper for an air conditioner comprises a housing(10), a movable plate(14), a groove(15), a locking member(17), and a control unit(19). Flanges(11) are formed in both ends of the housing and have multiple coupling holes(12). The movable plate is installed inside the housing to open and close on a rotary shaft(13). The groove is formed in the edge on one side or both sides of the movable plate. The locking member is installed in the inner circumference of the housing as the movable plate is in a closed position. The control unit is connected to one side of the rotary shaft.
