Summary:PURPOSE: A fire-resistant performance design method for calculating equivalent fire severity with a performance design technique when designing fire-resistant performance of a structure. CONSTITUTION: A partition shape for design of fire-resistant performance is determined by inputting fire prevention partition size data, roof opening data and wall opening data(S111). The conversion factor is calculated by considering a material property forming a fire prevention partition(S112). The material correction factor according to a kind of material forming the fire prevention partition is calculated(S113). The ventilation factor by considering air inflow of the fire prevention partition(S114). The design method is judged whether the method is a detailed design or a simple design(S115), and then combustible material data are inputted if the design is a detailed design method by considering the combustible material of the fire prevention material(S116). Afterward, a net calorific value is calculated by subtracting latent heat taken by vapor from the gross heating value(S117) and the fire load energy density of the partition is calculated(S118). The design method is judged whether the method is a detailed design or a simple design, and if the design is a simple design method by considering the combustible material of the fire prevention partition, the fire load energy density of the partition in case of the simple design is calculated(S120). A danger factor according to the fire partition and residential environment(S119) and the design fire load density by considering the fire load according to the calculated fire load energy density of the partition is calculated(S121).
