Summary:PURPOSE: A passive cooling system for a nuclear power plant is provided to remove residual heat or core decay heat without supplying electricity by operating in a secondary system of an auxiliary feeding system. CONSTITUTION: A cooling water storage tank(110) stores cooling water. A steam generator(120) generates steam by exchanging heat with a first system including a nuclear reactor. A water cooling type heat exchanging unit(131) is formed in the cooling water storage tank. An air cooling type heat exchanging unit is formed outside the cooling water storage tank. A steam pipe(140) connects the upper side of the steam generator to the upper sides of the water cooling type heat exchanging unit and the air cooling type heat exchanging unit.
