Summary:PURPOSE: A book scanner having an illuminating filter panel for a welfare increasing reading helper system is provided to obtain a book image of high quality by preventing light of an LED from being inserted into a camera lens. CONSTITUTION: An angular transparent table(2) is combined with an upper side of a housing and supports both sides of a spread book. A left/right reflecting mirror(4) faces the transparent table and is arranged on both sides of a digital camera. A rotating mirror(5) is arranged in the upper side of the digital camera. A light blocking plate(9) prevents light of an LED module from being inserted into a lens of the digital camera.
