Summary:PURPOSE: A composition containing Liriope platyphylla extract is provided to suppress acute edema and to prevent and treat inflammatory diseases. CONSTITUTION: A method for preparing Liriope platyphylla extract using actigenin as an indicating material comprises: a step of isolating Liriope platyphylla with water, alcohol, or alcohol solution, cooling and filtering; a step of isolating remaining liquid using the alcohol solution and compressing at 50-90 °C for concentration; and a step of adding alcohol to the concentrate and centrifuging at 700-1,200 rpm.
