Summary: | PURPOSE: An optical receiver having APD(Avalanche PhotoDetector) and operation method thereof are provided to control the equalization coefficient of an adaptive equalizer. CONSTITUTION: A pre-amplifier(120) converts a current signal outputted from APD into a voltage signal. An adaptive equalizer(130) outputs an equalization signal about the voltage signal. A monitoring unit(160) decides a control coefficient with reference to the bandwidth of the equalization signal. The adaptive equalizer selects a control coefficient as an equalization coefficient. A converting unit converts the control coefficient to an analog control signal. |
