Summary:PURPOSE: An apparatus for precipitating particulate solid materials from drinking water and wastewater is provided to prevent the suspension of solid materials due to the rapid drop of wastewater. CONSTITUTION: An apparatus for precipitating particulate solid materials from drinking water and wastewater includes a wastewater accelerating ejector(20). The wastewater accelerating ejector is in connection with the lower side of the inlet(10) of the apparatus. The lower side of the wastewater accelerating ejector is vertically embedded in a wastewater dropping pipe(30). A shielding plate(40) is spaced apart from the lower side of the wastewater accelerating ejector and installed in the wastewater dropping pipe. The wastewater dropping pipe is embedded in a wastewater transferring pipe. A precipitated material discharging pipe(70) is installed at the lower side of the wastewater transferring pipe. A ring filter(80) filtering suspended materials are embedded at the upper inner side of the apparatus. A suspended material collecting chamber(90) is installed at the upper inner center of the apparatus.
