Summary:PURPOSE: A method for asynchronously starting four zones-based simulated moving bed chromatography is provided to efficiently reduce time required for normalizing the simulated moving bed chromatography. CONSTITUTION: A raw material is introduced into a first zone through a raw material inlet. The raw material is moved from the first zone to a second zone. An eluent solution is simultaneously introduced into the first zone through an eluent inlet. While the eluent solution is being introduced into the first zone, the raw material inlet is moved from the second zone to a third zone in order to start simulated moving bed chromatography.
