Summary:PURPOSE: A hot melt adhesive composition and a hot melt adhesive composition are provided to ensure excellent adhesive property to a polar substrate. CONSTITUTION: A hot melt adhesive composition comprises an ethylene vinyl acetate-based resin and a base resin including a polar group-containing dicyclopentadiene-based petroleum resin. The polar group-containing dicyclopentadiene-based petroleum resin is obtained by hydrogenating a polymer in the presence of a hydrogenation catalyst. The polymer is obtained from 20~60 weight% of a cyclopentadiene-based monomer, 10~40 weight% of an ester group-containing acrylic monomer, and 20~60 weight% of cyclic olefin-based monomer with one double bond.
